Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a well-established Main Contractor in Wexford. The role covers commercial and financial management, procurement, budgeting and cost control across projects.

The ideal candidate has 3 years in a similar role and 6 years in the industry, with a degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying. Salary circa €80k-€90k DOE and a strong benefits package are on offer.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a similar role.
• 6 years experience in the industry.
• Degree qualified in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from pre-contract to final account.
• Ability to lead and support junior QS team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial and financial management of assigned projects.
• Manage full subcontractor procurement process.
• Prepare detailed trade and contract budgets.
• Analyse and review package costs and negotiate with subcontractors.
• Coordinate subcontractor appointments and manage accounts.
• Administer subcontractor payment processes.
• Prepare and monitor project cash flows and interim valuations.
• Manage change orders and final accounts with PQS.
