Job summary

BHA Construction in Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on residential projects. You will manage the full cost lifecycle, including budgets, valuations, tendering, and subcontractor payments, working with management, site teams and clients.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years' post-qualification experience, with strong knowledge of Irish contracts and cost planning tools.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and regulatory standards.
• Proficient with cost planning software and MS Office.

Role Overview

We are seeking aSenior Quantity Surveor to join our commercial team. This is a key role in our business, responsible for managing the full cost lifecycle across residential construction projects. You’ll work closely with our Senior Management, Commercial Manager, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure value, compliance, and timely delivery

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, valuations, and forecasts across multiple residential projects
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation
• Assess, value, and process subcontractor payments and variations
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management activities
• Ensure contractual compliance and help resolve any commercial issues or disputes
• Work with the project team to track progress and manage financial reporting
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain strong commercial relationships
• Support procurement strategies and supply chain negotiation

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
