Job summary

BHA Construction in Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on residential projects. You will manage the full cost lifecycle, including budgets, valuations, tendering, and subcontractor payments, working with management, site teams and clients.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years' post-qualification experience, with strong knowledge of Irish contracts and cost planning tools.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in residential construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts and regulatory standards.
• Proficient with cost planning software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, valuations and forecasts across residential projects.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts and bills of quantities.
• Assess, value and process subcontractor payments and variations.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management.
• Ensure contractual compliance and resolve commercial issues.
• Collaborate with project teams to track progress and report financials.
• Maintain strong commercial relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support procurement strategies and supply chain negotiations.
