Job summary

CompuStaff Group in Galway is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join a global technology company, focusing on mobile and IoT software solutions, with a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days per week in the office.

You will work in an Agile team, performing functional, API and performance testing, supporting feature, upgrade and release testing, and helping maintain quality throughout sprint and release cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in software QA.
• Experience across functional, integration, regression and system testing.
• Good experience with API testing and JMeter.
• Experience with test automation and a programming language such as C# and Playwright would be an advantage.
• Experience testing complex web and/or mobile applications.
• SQL/database knowledge and understanding of CI/CD.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• AWS/Azure knowledge would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans and test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API and performance testing.
• Support feature, upgrade and release testing.
• Use JMeter for performance and load testing.
• Use tools such as AppDynamics and Fiddler to investigate issues.
• Contribute to test automation and CI/CD.
• Assist with customer-facing issue investigations.
• Work closely with developers and architects to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Ensure releases meet quality and readiness standards.
• Contribute to improving QA and testing practices.
