Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio, delivering full design-to-operation solutions for clients in Ireland. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage safety, quality and budgets, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil/MEICA projects, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
• Experience in managing Civil and MEICA works including water/wastewater treatment plants and associated electrical/mechanical packages.
• Ability to engage with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors in financial negotiations and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team delivering one or more projects with a 'one team' approach.
• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on-site.
• Collaborate with clients, client representatives and third-party agencies to ensure a positive client experience.
• Lead and coordinate civil, MEICA and process teams to deliver projects on-time and on-budget.
• Co-ordinate PSDP roles for live projects with designers.
• Represent the company as PSCS on live sites and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Conduct site health & safety inspections, toolbox talks and meetings.
• Monitor project performance, risks and opportunities, and mitigate where possible.
• Report monthly project performance on programme, budget and HSQE to framework manager.
• Lead procurement, manage cashflow and support interim payments with the Contracts/Commercial Manager.
• Promote training and development and support tendering opportunities.
