Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Water Process Design Engineer to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure from concept to construction and commissioning. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary team, focusing on process, mechanical, and hydraulic design while coordinating with MEICA, civil and structural engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree in Chemical, Water/Wastewater, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or related discipline).
• 2–3 years’ relevant experience in water, wastewater, or process engineering sectors.
• Strong process and hydraulic engineering capability including design, calculations, and equipment selection.
• Proficient with BIM360, ACC, ProjectWise or similar CDEs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to present to clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop process & mechanical design reports and deliverables.
• Collaborate with MEICA, digital team, planners, PMs and clients to align design.
• Communicate design intent and resolve technical queries with clients and third parties.
• Define project scope, budget, programme, and deliverables with PMs.
• Review and validate proposals for compliance with standards and specs.
• Monitor progress against schedules and identify risks or constraints.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, ALMs and constructability workshops.
