Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Water Mechanical Engineer to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio, delivering full design‑to‑operation solutions for Uisce Éireann, Northern Ireland Water and other clients. The role focuses on accurate data, clear design concepts and meeting project milestones.

Responsibilities include developing conceptual drawings, pipework layouts and ensuring site installation and commissioning follow planned milestones. Travel and driving licence required.

Qualifications

• BTEC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience using Autodesk 3D and 2D CAD packages.
• Ability to develop conceptual arrangement drawings and high‑level visuals at proposal stage.
• Ability to produce detailed pipework layouts and mechanical support details.
• Capable of adapting plans to changing project circumstances.
• Ability to follow designs from outline through to site installation and commissioning.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Full driving licence.
• Knowledge of legislative safety and design standards.
• A team player with ability to work autonomously when required.
