Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Water Design manager to support our expanding Water & Wastewater portfolio. The role involves delivering full design‑to‑operation solutions for major clients, with emphasis on MEICA engineering, safety standards and stakeholder collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a similar role, a Level 8 Honours degree in relevant fields, and strong experience with MEICA works. Driving licence and PSCS/PSDP coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in water & wastewater.
• Level 8 Honours Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science or Chemistry.
• Extensive knowledge of Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
• Experience with MEICA engineering works (process systems, panels, electrical installations, commissioning).
• Full Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MEICA scope of works and liaise with civil/building and process teams.
• Work as part of a team delivering multiple projects and ensure HSE standards on-site.
• Coordinate PSDP on live projects and manage PSCS documentation.
• Engage with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, including financial negotiations and final accounts.
• Utilise programme management software such as Microsoft Project and prepare baseline programmes.
