Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment partners with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Civil Project Manager for projects across Cork, Limerick and the wider Munster region.

Candidates will manage civil engineering and infrastructure projects within Ireland or the UK, ensuring compliance with Irish and UK regulations, safety standards and quality control. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive delivery to time and budget, and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects in Ireland and/or the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish and/or UK construction regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
  • Lead site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, plant and materials across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive programme performance and proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure full compliance with Irish or UK health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

CareerWise Recruitment is delighted to partner with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Civil Project Manager for projects across Cork, Limerick and the wider Munster region. This opportunity is ideally suited to a Project Manager with a proven track record delivering civil engineering and infrastructure projects within Ireland or the UK, including roads, utilities, drainage, renewable energy, residential infrastructure and public realm developments.

Candidates must have a strong understanding of Irish or UK construction standards, health and safety legislation, client management and project delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage civil engineering projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
  • Lead site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, plant and materials across multiple workstreams.

Please note: Applicants must have relevant project management experience gained on civil engineering projects within Ireland or the United Kingdom. Candidates whose experience is primarily outside these markets may not meet the requirements of this role.
