Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group in Sligo is recruiting an experienced Production Planner to join a leading global manufacturing organisation. The role focuses on balancing customer demand with capacity and driving DIFOT performance across the site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will manage end-to-end planning processes and drive continuous improvement while maintaining accurate records and cross-functional collaboration. This is a site-based role in Sligo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain.
• 3+ years of experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end production planning and scheduling.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Balance demand with capacity, materials and resources.
• Monitor production performance, schedule adherence and losses.
• Support Delivery in Full, On Time (DIFOT) performance.
• Proactively manage material shortages, labour constraints and downtime.
• Coordinate raw material and shipment requirements to optimise inventory and JIT flow.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Warehousing, Logistics, Engineering and Customer Service.
• Support new product integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate planning records, reports and documentation.
• Act as a key contact for production planning across the site.
