Ohshima Ireland Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our growing team at our Shannon, Co. Clare facility.

Reporting to the Head of Production , the Production Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising the production schedule to ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved while maximizing manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and manage the production schedule through our Oracle ERP system to support customer demand and operational objectives.
- Plan and balance production workloads to maximize capacity utilisation, efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
- Monitor production progress and proactively adjust schedules in response to changing priorities, resource constraints or machine downtime.
- Work closely with Customer Service to align production plans with customer delivery requirements and communicate schedule changes where necessary.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability supports the production schedule.
- Liaise with Quality and Incoming Inspection teams to ensure critical materials are prioritised and available for production in a timely manner.
- Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) and identify potential bottlenecks or delays, coordinating with relevant departments to maintain schedule adherence.
- Track and coordinate outsourced processing activities to ensure supplier delivery commitments align with production requirements.
- Monitor production performance against schedule and highlight risks, constraints and improvement opportunities to management.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Oracle ERP system and utilise system data to support effective planning and decision-making.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production planning, supply chain, or a similar operations role (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issues.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle Access ERP experience beneficial but not required).
