Job summary

Sterling Engineering Ltd - Ireland & Europe seeks a Senior Product Manager in Shannon, Ireland, to own a significant product line within a global Connected Home and IoT portfolio. You will drive strategy, roadmap, and commercial outcomes across the full lifecycle alongside engineering, commercial and regional teams.

You will lead investment decisions, define requirements, and enable growth while applying AI to enhance research and reporting. Travel internationally is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Design or related discipline.
• Minimum eight years' product management experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Experience taking physical products to market, hardware + software + services.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including ROI and margin.
• Ability to define strategy, manage ambiguity and make independent decisions.
• Translate customer/market needs into product requirements; balance regional demands.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in applying AI to improve PM effectiveness.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy, roadmap and requirements from customer insight and market opportunities.
• Own business cases, investment, revenue, margin and ROI for the product line.
• Prioritise development by balancing customer needs, feasibility, cost, quality and time.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, architecture, quality, regulatory, supply chain, marketing and regions.
• Manage products through lifecycle gates from investment to retirement.
• Own launch readiness, positioning, sales enablement and post-launch growth.
• Monitor performance and invest decisions based on evidence.
• Apply AI, including agentic solutions, to improve research and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices.
