Job summary

Davy is seeking a Senior Privacy Specialist to join our Data & Analytics team in Ireland. You will embed Privacy by Design and Default, partner with business and tech leads, and act as a trusted advisor on privacy obligations and risk management.

You will lead DPIAs/LIAs, manage privacy risk, support procurement, and help govern RoPAs while staying aligned with GDPR and EU AI Act requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of the GDPR and broader privacy regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in privacy, data protection, data governance, compliance, risk, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience embedding the GDPR and Privacy by Design & Default principles within business processes, technology solutions, and transformation programmes.
• Experience working within a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services, Wealth Management, Banking, or Asset Management.

Responsibilities

• Embed Privacy by Design & Default principles into change, transformation, digital, data, and AI initiatives.
• Partner with Business Leads, Process Owners, Product Owners, Technology and Data teams to identify and manage privacy risks from inception through implementation.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing practical and commercially balanced guidance on privacy obligations and risk management.
• Support project teams in designing and implementing privacy-compliant processes, systems, and controls.
• Lead and facilitate DPIAs, LIAs, and other privacy risk assessments as required.
• Identify privacy and data protection risks and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure privacy decisions and mitigations are documented, approved, tracked, and implemented prior to go-live.
• Support procurement and vendor due diligence activities by assessing privacy and data protection risks.
• Support the maintenance and governance of Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs).
• Escalate significant privacy risks through governance and risk forums.
• Provide privacy guidance on AI and support governance frameworks in line with EU AI Act.
• Develop relationships across the organisation to promote privacy awareness and accountability.
• Deliver targeted privacy training for colleagues involved in transformation, technology, data, and AI programmes.
