Job summary

Jobgether in Ireland seeks a Senior Counsel, Data Privacy & AI to lead global privacy, data protection, and AI governance efforts across its employment technology platform. You will guide product teams from ideation to launch, shaping responsible AI and privacy-by-design practices while balancing commercial goals.

Responsibilities include DPIAs/PIAs, data mapping, vendor assessments, and drafting DPAs/SCCs.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of GDPR, international data transfers, DPIAs/PIAs, retention, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on data privacy, data protection, and AI matters across the platform and jurisdictions.
• Embed privacy-by-design and responsible AI practices into product features and workflows.
• Translate regulatory requirements into clear policies, checklists, and decision standards for teams.
• Support AI governance through use-case assessments, risk classification, and documentation.
• Lead or support DPIAs, PIAs, TIAs, data mapping, and vendor assessments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate DPAs, SCCs, data-use terms, and data transfer provisions.
• Advise on workforce data protection across global employment, payroll, and contractor data.
• Collaborate with security and IT on incident response and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare privacy questionnaires, audit materials, and trust/compliance documents.
• Monitor global privacy and AI regulation to guide strategic priorities.
