Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking a Qualified Accountant for a well-established accounting practice in South Dublin. You will manage client portfolios, prepare annual accounts and financial statements, and mentor junior team members while delivering precise accounting support on a range of tax and compliance matters.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams, ensuring deadlines are met and information is accurate, with opportunities to advise on process improvements and outsourcing

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified.
• At least 2 years PQE in an Irish accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and VAT/RCT requirements.
• Experience reviewing junior staff and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients across sectors with day-to-day accounting queries.
• Prepare and review annual accounts and financial statements.
• Complete accounts files from start to finish within deadlines.
• Prepare audit-exempt financial statements and supporting working papers.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts with month-end close.
• Prepare VAT and other relevant tax returns within deadlines.
• Assist with year-end reconciliations and documentation.
• Review bookkeeping records and support clients’ reporting improvements.
• Provide accounting support and guidance to clients and junior staff.
