Job summary

An established accounting practice in South Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio. Job description

Our client, an established accounting practice based in South Dublin is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This Senior Accountant role offers the chance to join a collaborative, growth‑focused team with a clear pathway to Partner level. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a diverse client portfolio while delivering accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and advisory support.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and tax filings in line with statutory and firm standards as a Senior Accountant.
  • Provide high‑quality accounting, compliance, and advisory support while building strong client relationships and delivering clear, commercially focused financial insights.
  • Prepare and review tax returns for both individuals and companies, ensuring full compliance and offering practical, solution‑driven advice.
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing, contributing to efficient internal processes and consistent service delivery expected of a Senior Accountant.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent), ideally with experience operating at Senior Accountant level.
  • Minimum 5 year post‑qualification experience within a small – medium professional practice environment.
  • Strong technical grounding in Irish GAAP with solid familiarity in FRS 102.
  • Strong understanding of Irish tax compliance for individuals and companies.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members desired.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office.
