Job summary

RECRUITERS in Dublin is seeking Senior Infrastructure / Platform Engineers to modernise core infrastructure and transition traditional services into cloud-native environments. The role focuses on Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, with a strong automation-first mindset and hands-on coding in Go or Python.

The team will migrate traditional infrastructure to cloud-native environments running on Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and resilience while delivering scalable production services.

Qualifications

• Senior infrastructure engineer with a strong Linux background.
• Experience across traditional infrastructure, Kubernetes and public cloud environments.
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform — AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong software engineering and automation-first mindset.
• Development experience with Go or Python, with Go desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and modernise business-critical infrastructure services.
• Support migration of traditional infrastructure into Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.
• Design, automate and operate highly available production infrastructure.
• Work across Linux, Kubernetes, public cloud and Infrastructure as Code environments.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and adopt a strong software engineering approach to infrastructure.
• Support infrastructure migration and modernisation initiatives from design through to implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues across distributed environments.
• Collaborate with platform, engineering and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable next-generation infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on Linux engineering experience.
• Senior-level experience across Infrastructure, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Experience managing mission-critical, highly available infrastructure services.
• Proven experience with infrastructure modernisation or migration.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform — AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong software engineering and automation-first mindset.
• Strong development experience with Python or Go, with Go particularly desirable.
• Experience working with CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills within large-scale production environments.
