Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to design and govern internet infrastructure for applications and platforms across the enterprise. You will work with application teams, engineers and users to ensure the architecture meets security, scalability and availability standards.

You will generate high‑level requirements, produce architectural artefacts, and lead regional projects, ensuring products stay current and efficient while interfacing with stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of network, operating system principles and web middleware.
• Thorough knowledge in one or more core functions related to internet infrastructure design and/or web administration.

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements with architects, engineers, application teams and users to ensure high level requirements are met.
• Create artefacts such as Technical Architecture Documents (TADs), technical documents, logical flows and models to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain architectural products in current state and prevent obsolescence.
• Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability globally.
• Research and evaluate new technology for deployment in Mastercard’s internet infrastructure.
• Lead regional projects with planning, time/cost control and resource utilization.
• Implement, manage and support internet infrastructure components following standards and best practices.
• Perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning and configuration management for Mastercard internet components.
• Ensure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution.
