Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to design and govern internet infrastructure across our global platform. This role collaborates with application teams and stakeholders to ensure security, scalability, and availability while delivering robust architectural artifacts such as TADs and models.

You will drive architectural governance, evaluate new technologies, and lead regional initiatives, ensuring alignment with Mastercard standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of network and OS principles.
• Experience with web servers, app servers or middleware.
• Ability to generate high-level system requirements.
• Capable of leading regional projects and coordinating with multiple teams.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Generate requirements with architects, engineers and users to meet high-level needs.
• Create TADs and technical documents to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Maintain architectural artifacts in current state.
• Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting availability.
• Research new technologies for potential deployment.
• Lead regional projects with planning, time and cost control.
• Implement and support internet infrastructure components.
• Diagnose problems, perform tuning, plan capacity and manage configurations.
• Monitor production to ensure stability and future compatibility.
