Job summary

CSR Land Planning & Design seeks a Senior Planner for its Dublin office. You will oversee a broad portfolio including large‑scale residential, commercial and urban regeneration projects, coordinating with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years’ planning experience, accredited planning qualifications, and strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Salary is negotiable, with CPD support and flexible arrangements offered.

Qualifications

• Over eight years’ planning experience and membership in IPI/RTPI or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in development planning, feasibility, environmental planning, and planning applications.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills in complex planning matters.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across projects of varying scale.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects end to end, coordinating with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Developing project plans, overseeing budgets and timely delivery of services.
• Allocating and managing team workloads for efficient delivery.
• Coordinating with statutory authorities and planning bodies.
• Designing and implementing responses to new legislation and policy changes.
• Representing the company in meetings and business development activity.
• Mentoring and guiding junior staff.

Opportunity for Experienced Planning Professionals

We are currently seeking a Senior Planner to join our Dublin office. The role offers exposure to a broad range of projects, including large‑scale residential schemes, commercial and retail development, urban regeneration, tourism, master planning, infrastructure and environmental initiatives.

The successful candidate will work on varied and rewarding projects within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team, with clear opportunities for professional development and role progression aligned to their skills and experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Managing projects end to end, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing project plans, overseeing budgets, and ensuring the timely delivery of high‑quality services.
• Allocating and managing team workloads to ensure efficient delivery of client instructions.
• Coordinating with statutory authorities, including County Councils and An Bord Pleanála.
• Designing and implementing strategic responses to new legislation and policy changes.
• Acting as a company representative at client meetings and across social media to support business development.
• Supporting the professional development of junior staff through mentoring and guidance.

Ideal Candidate:

• Over eight years’ planning experience.
• Accredited planning qualification with IPI and/or RTPI membership, or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of Irish planning legislation and regulations.
• Proven expertise in development planning, feasibility, environmental planning, and planning applications, appeals, and reports.
• Provides strategic planning advice for project direction and forward planning.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills in complex planning matters.
• Track record in managing large-scale developments through the planning system.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across projects of varying scale.
• Strong communicator and collaborative team member with a client-focused approach.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organisational skills.
• Advanced MS Word and Excel skills, with strong report-writing ability.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
