Job summary

Rent a Recruiter is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to shape Ireland's major infrastructure projects. You will develop and monitor programmes, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has civil engineering experience, proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project, NEC3/NEC4 exposure, and strong analytical and communication skills. Rail or client-side experience is advantageous.

• Experience in civil engineering and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline desirable.
• Rail experience and client-side experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and updating programmes using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Preparing cost and resource-loaded programmes, forecasts and progress reports.
• Managing baselines, critical paths, risks, constraints and programme interfaces.
• Supporting NEC processes including early warnings and compensation events.
• Leading planning meetings and workshops with project teams and clients.
• Providing scenario planning, delay analysis and schedule quality assessments.
• Integrating schedule, cost and risk to support informed project decisions.
• Producing dashboards and advanced reporting, including Earned Value Management.

Are you an experienced Planner ready to take the next step into a Senior Planner role? This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering and infrastructure consultancy and work on major projects shaping Ireland's future.

As a Senior Planner, you'll play a key role in developing, monitoring and managing project programmes, working with multidisciplinary teams, clients and senior stakeholders to drive successful project delivery.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Preparing cost and resource-loaded programmes, forecasts and progress reports

We’re looking for a Planner with:

• Experience in civil engineering

• A relevant degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline is desirable.
