Job summary

European Tech Recruit is helping a leading semiconductor company find a Physical Designer Engineer for its GPU silicon team in Ireland. The role focuses on clock and power delivery network design, with emphasis on physical implementation and integration of blocks within tight schedules.

The ideal candidate has experience with physical synthesis and timing/power analysis, and a solid understanding of CMOS circuit design.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical synthesis and implementation tools.
• Strong understanding of timing and power analysis.
• Background in CMOS circuit design is desirable.

This is an amazing opportunity to work on industry leading Graphics and GPU Cores with a leading company that are massively expanding - No previous GPU experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Clock, power delivery network design and analysis


• Deep knowledge of Physical Implementation


• Physical synthesis


• Place and route


• Power analysis and optimizations


• Semi-custom and custom block integration.


• Involved in both implementation and development/automation of tasks for block implementation flow in addition to new methodology development and vendor tool evaluations and integration.


• Work is in a dynamic team environment with aggressive schedule, chip power consumption and area targets.

Skills and Experience

• Experience with physical synthesis and implementation tools


• Good knowledge of timing analysis and power analysis


• Understanding of CMOS circuit design.
