Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer in Arklow, Ireland to lead enterprise payment opportunities and architect scalable solutions. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Professional Services to shape engagements and drive value for customers and partners.

This role blends technical leadership with commercial acumen in a highly visible capacity. The successful candidate will mentor engineers, stay ahead of payment trends, and help expand Elavon's European solution

Qualifications

Extensive experience within payments, acquiring, gateways, fintech, or payment technology.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead technical strategy for enterprise and strategic payment opportunities.
Design scalable payment and integration solutions for customers and partners.
Act as a subject matter expert across acquiring, payment gateways, APIs, e-commerce, and omnichannel solutions.
Deliver technical workshops, solution presentations, and executive briefings.
Support RFPs, customer bids, and complex solution design activities.
Mentor Solution Engineers and contribute to the growth of the European Solution Engineering practice.
