Job summary

ESB's Generation Engineering Offshore Wind Group seeks an experienced Senior Offshore Wind Foundations Specialist Engineer to lead foundation design, package management, certification and fabrication of large offshore structures from development through procurement, construction and operations.

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Typically 10 years of offshore foundation design and design management experience.
• Extensive knowledge of fixed offshore foundation systems (monopiles, jackets) and relevant design codes.
• Experience leading complex foundation design and delivery contracts, with procurement/fabrication responsibility.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence decisions across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as ESB's senior technical authority for offshore wind foundations and certify foundation outputs.
• Lead foundation concept selection, design strategy and critical technical reviews.
• Procurement and management of high-value foundation design, package and fabrication contracts.
• Lead design certification and independent verification activities with certification bodies.
• Own and communicate foundation-related risks, ensuring manufacturability, supply chain and installation implications are understood.
• Provide DevEx, CapEx and OpEx assumptions, cost estimates and optimisation advice.
• Mentor engineers and represent ESB with key industry and supply-chain stakeholders.
