Job summary

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) is seeking a Senior Offshore Wind Foundations Specialist Engineer to lead and assure foundation design, package management and fabrication of large offshore structures from early development through procurement and operations.

The role requires strong technical leadership, experience with monopiles/jackets, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, certification bodies and suppliers to deliver safe, robust foundation solutions in line with ESB's

Qualifications

Ten or more years of relevant professional experience in offshore foundation design and design management.
Experience leading foundation design, package management and fabrication of large offshore structures.
Strong input on construction methodology, cost and schedule within offshore wind projects.
Experience operating in a senior or lead capacity and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Act as ESB’s senior technical authority for offshore wind foundations and ensure safe, certifiable design outputs.
Lead foundation concept selection, design strategy and critical technical reviews for fixed-bottom solutions (monopiles, jackets).
Define, procure and manage high-value foundation design, package and fabrication contracts.
Lead design certification and independent verification activities with stakeholders and certification bodies.
Communicate risks across programme, cost, quality, safety and interfaces; influence decisions.
