Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer - MV Systems in Dublin to lead MV design and technical delivery on major construction projects. You will conduct power system studies and manage submittals, reviews and vendor engagement, while collaborating with BIM and commissioning teams.

You will mentor graduate and junior engineers and ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards, leveraging ETAP/PSCAD/DIgSILENT/CDEGS for analysis.

Qualifications

Strong MV electrical design and power system engineering background.
Proven delivery of MV packages on large industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre or mission-critical projects.
Load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing, harmonics studies.
Hands-on knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers, protection relays and cable systems.
Experience in testing, commissioning and system validation.
Working knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards.
Proficiency in ETAP, PSCAD, DIgSILENT, CDEGS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Lead MV design, engineering and technical delivery on major construction projects.
Drive MV activities from design development through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and client handover.
Run power system studies in ETAP, PSCAD, DIgSILENT and CDEGS.
Manage technical submittals, design reviews, equipment approvals and vendors.
Work with BIM, construction, commissioning and procurement teams to keep designs buildable and efficient.
Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
