Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer - MV Systems in Dublin to lead MV design and technical delivery on major construction projects. You will conduct power system studies and manage submittals, reviews and vendor engagement, while collaborating with BIM and commissioning teams.

You will mentor graduate and junior engineers and ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards, leveraging ETAP/PSCAD/DIgSILENT/CDEGS for analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong MV electrical design and power system engineering background.
• Proven delivery of MV packages on large industrial, pharmaceutical, data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing, harmonics studies.
• Hands-on knowledge of MV switchgear, transformers, protection relays and cable systems.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and system validation.
• Working knowledge of IEC and IEEE standards.
• Proficiency in ETAP, PSCAD, DIgSILENT, CDEGS or equivalent.

Do you own medium voltage design from concept through to commissioning? Want to do it on complex, mission-critical projects?

I'm working with a leading Irish engineering contractor delivering high-value construction and mission-critical projects internationally. They're growing their engineering team and looking for an MV Specialist to take technical ownership of MV systems across multiple projects.

The role

• Lead MV design, engineering and technical delivery on major construction projects
