Job summary

BMD & Co Ltd is seeking a Construction Manager, Mechanical to lead a team of engineers on a major project in Ireland. The role focuses on safe, efficient delivery, development of execution plans, and managing subcontract scopes from bid to delivery.

Key responsibilities include safety leadership, planning, coordinating with schedulers and QS, and ensuring quality and compliance. A degree in construction/mechanical engineering and NavisWorks proficiency are preferred. MSIC is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant CM/Project Engineer experience.
• Experience on mechanical construction projects in pharma/biotech/oil & gas.
• Experience with equipment installation, piping fabrication, testing on site.
• Degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient with NavisWorks or similar.
• MSIC completion is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety on site and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Plan work from initiation to closure for materials and subcontract packages.
• Manage site supervision team including engineers and craft supervisors.
• Develop constructability reports and project schedules with the team.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes, tendering and cost/schedule control.
• Report progress weekly/monthly to client representatives.
