Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree, trade qualification, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant mechanical construction experience in industrial / pharma environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specs, and turnover documents.
• Proven ability to lead contractors and multidisciplinary teams on small to medium capital projects with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and commissioning milestones.
• Project management and construction safety qualifications are desirable.
• Additional training in lifting operations, permit-to-work, pressure systems, welding quality would be an advantage.

Our client is a pharmaceutical company in Cork looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Lead to form part of the client team leading safe, compliant, and effective delivery of predominantly mechanical construction scopes, ensuring works are executed to the highest Safety and Quality standards, on schedule and within budget.

• Lead mechanical construction delivery across systems such as piping, HVAC, utilities, equipment installation, testing and turnover.
• Lead engineering & design aspects of the projects with design houses.
• Hire and coordinate contractors and vendors while managing interfaces with live plant operations.

• Proven ability to lead contractors and multidisciplinary teams on small and medium capital projects while managing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and commissioning milestones.
• Project management and construction safety qualifications are desirable.
• Additional training in lifting operations, permit-to-work, pressure systems, welding quality, would be an advantage.
