Qualifications

• Degree, trade qualification, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Significant mechanical construction experience in industrial / pharma environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specs, and turnover documents.
• Proven ability to lead contractors and multidisciplinary teams on small to medium capital projects with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and commissioning milestones.
• Project management and construction safety qualifications are desirable.
• Additional training in lifting operations, permit-to-work, pressure systems, welding quality would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical construction delivery across systems such as piping, HVAC, utilities, equipment installation, testing and turnover.
• Lead engineering & design aspects of the projects with design houses.
• Hire and coordinate contractors and vendors while managing interfaces with live plant operations.
• Lead the project on all construction matters, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, permits, RAMS, and site procedures.
• Monitor progress, productivity, safety, quality, manpower, schedule, and contractor performance, escalating risks and recovery actions as required.
• Support material readiness, change control, technical queries, walkdowns, punch closure and handover.
