Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Ireland to lead and optimize manufacturing processes for medical devices in a regulated environment. The role emphasizes hands-on process ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 8 engineering degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with expertise in laser welding, laser cutting, or precision grinding.

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally in medical devices or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong hands-on technical expertise in manufacturing processes, with experience in laser welding, laser cutting, grinding or other precision manufacturing technologies considered an advantage.
• Proven experience leading or supervising Engineers and Technicians, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support team development.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of manufacturing processes, troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective, sustainable solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, with project management or people management qualifications considered an advantage.
