Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in Dunboyne seeks a Senior Laboratory Systems Specialist to lead data management and instrument control within Quality Operations. You will act as SME, driving digital lab solutions and system harmonization in a GMP setting.

You will manage projects for LIMS, Empower, MODA, and related tools, support NPI and tech transfers, and mentor the Laboratory Systems team while collaborating with Lab IT and global System Owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical/scientific discipline.
• Hands-on SME knowledge configuring/building/maintaining key lab computer systems (LIMS, MODA, Empower).
• Understanding analytical methods used in biologics testing (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, PCR, capillary electrophoresis, bioassays, compendial assays).
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with data integrity, SDLC, and data mapping between lab systems and ERP/Middleware.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for lab instrument control and data management systems.
• Lead projects to harmonize and standardize laboratory systems and data reporting.
• Provide oversight for qualification/validation, tech transfers, and routine testing.
• Lead NPI and commercialization initiatives for the biologics pipeline.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and SDLC standards and audit readiness.
