Job summary

Medtronic plc in Ireland seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and improve Kubernetes-based cloud platforms that support critical healthcare software. You will drive reliability, observability, automation, and developer experience in AWS production environments.

You will monitor health, contribute to platform stability, write and test code, and collaborate with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan sprints and deliver high‑quality outcomes every iteration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years hands-on Site Reliability Engineering or similar role.
3+ years with AWS cloud technologies.
3+ years of Linux experience.
Experience with Kubernetes Operators, including creating custom operators.
Experience operating production workloads on Kubernetes (deployment, troubleshooting, upgrades).
Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible.

Responsibilities

Ensure environments are available by monitoring health and performance.
Contribute to platform stability and improve developer experience.
Write, test, and review code.
Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master to plan sprints and deliver high-quality outcomes in each sprint.
