Job summary

Medtronic Ireland is hiring a software engineer to join the Atlas team, building platforms that deliver clinical data to clinicians and health systems. The role emphasizes data export and secure access using industry standards like XML and HL7, enabling reliable integration across systems.

You will design cloud-based services, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices using C#, .NET, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka, with a focus on scalability and real-time delivery to support patient care.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in Computer Engineering/Science or technically related field.
• 4+ years of relevant software experience; advanced degree with 2+ years is acceptable.
• 4+ years delivering software using .NET Framework.
• 2+ years in a public cloud environment (AWS).
• 2+ years developing apps with Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control (git, JFrog, etc.).
• Experience with SQL.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Atlas team, build and support platforms that make critical medical device data accessible to clinicians, health systems, and external partners.
• Deliver clinical data in XML and HL7 to enable secure, reliable integration across healthcare systems.
• Design and develop cloud-based services, APIs, data pipelines, and microservices using C#, .NET, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and QA to ensure accurate, secure, near real-time data delivery for better clinical decisions.
