Medtronic in Ireland is hiring a Platform Engineer II to develop and operate the software ecosystem behind implantable cardiac devices. You will build scalable cloud and platform capabilities across the software lifecycle, collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable experiences for clinicians and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Experience creating or maintaining repeatable infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, or comparable tools.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability-as-code using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
• Strong ownership, initiative, and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative communication style and focus on patient outcomes through connected health tech.

Responsabilités

• Develop, operate, and support shared engineering platforms and services.
• Build reusable automation, tools, documentation, and runbooks to improve productivity and reliability.
• Implement, test, deploy, and support platform capabilities with supervision.
• Contribute to technical design discussions across software, cloud, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
• Partner with engineers, security, data, and infra teams to meet milestones.
• Guide entry-level engineers when appropriate.
