Job summary

Fidelity Information Services Ireland Limited is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and operate multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure powering an AI-enabled banking platform for Tier-1 banks. You will own GitOps, observability, DR, zero-trust security, and AI-driven SRE automation.

Production deployments span cloud and on-prem environments with strong ownership and cross-region responsibilities. The role emphasizes high autonomy in a small senior team, with direct impact on core banking

Qualifications

• Deep Kubernetes experience (EKS/GKE/AKS)
• Terraform multi-cloud
• GitOps tooling experience with Flux/ArgoCD
• Kafka / event streaming
• Distributed SQL databases
• Go, Rust or similar languages
• Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry familiarity
• DR/HA and Zero-Trust architecture ownership
• Hybrid cloud experience in regulated environments
• AI-native engineering concepts and workflows

Responsibilities

• Build and scale multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure in cloud/hybrid environments.
• Architect active-active distributed systems.
• Implement GitOps pipelines using Flux/ArgoCD across cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Own disaster recovery, backup/restore and multi-region resiliency.
• Drive zero-trust security, identity management and cryptographic audit trails.
• Develop observability stacks with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki and OpenTelemetry.
• Lead AI-driven automation for auto-remediation and root-cause analysis.
• Support on-prem and air-gapped deployments and legacy integrations.
• Mentor teammates and promote engineering best practices across the org.
