Cpl Group is partnering with a large US financial services client to hire a Principal DevOps Engineer on a contract basis in Ireland. You will lead cloud-native platform initiatives, drive automation, reliability, and observability across enterprise-scale systems, and collaborate with security, architecture, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
• 9+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise CI/CD platforms and distributed systems.
• 3+ years building and operating cloud-native solutions in AWS, including modernization and migration.
• 3+ years software development experience with Python, Java, or Node.js, focused on automation.
• 2+ years GitOps experience with Argo CD, Flux CD, or equivalent.
• Strong Kubernetes and containerized platform experience.
• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and self-service engineering.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, etc.).
• Exposure to AIOps and Agentic AI for automation and incident response.

Responsabilités

• Lead adoption of GitOps and Platform Engineering to improve deployment reliability and developer experience.
• Drive AI-enabled DevOps initiatives for automation and productivity.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to build scalable, observable platforms.
• Champion self-service capabilities, IaC, and automation across the engineering ecosystem.
• Define and execute reliability and observability strategies for critical systems.
