Impetus in Dublin is seeking an experienced Java Engineer to architect, design, and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will combine strong Java expertise with leadership, mentoring, and a track record in design patterns, code quality review, and scalable architecture.

This hybrid role involves collaborating with product managers, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust backend systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Strong knowledge of GoF design patterns and SOLID.
• Experience designing microservices, RESTful APIs, scalable architecture.
• Solid experience with CI/CD workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and ORM frameworks.
• Hands-on unit testing and test-driven development.
• Git expertise and collaboration in SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of backend systems in Java.
• Define software architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
• Drive adoption of design patterns, microservices, and modular code.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure readability, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor developers on Java practices and architecture decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and oversee team progress.
• Engage in full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
