Job summary

Stelfox IT Recruitment represents a Dublin-based client seeking a Technical Architect (Java & Oracle) to lead architecture initiatives on a critical enterprise programme. This hybrid role collaborates with stakeholders, engineering teams and product owners to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.

The successful candidate will define architecture standards, mentor teams on modern engineering practices, and drive best practices across Java, Oracle, data platforms and cloud-enabled

Qualifications

• Strong architecture and design expertise across complex platforms.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring Framework, Angular and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies.
• Knowledge of data architecture, metadata management and data lineage.
• Exposure to cloud and distributed architectures.
• Experience leading technical teams and guiding decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver architecture roadmaps aligned to business and technology objectives.
• Lead solution architecture and design activities across multiple stacks.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Drive best practices around software design, scalability, security, and performance.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and solution discussions.
• Review designs and code to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Identify risks, dependencies and mitigation strategies.
• Support technology selection and architectural decision-making.
• Promote reusable frameworks and enterprise-wide standards.
• Build relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
• Mentor teams on architecture principles and modern engineering practices.
