Job summary

ESB Networks in Dublin seeks a Senior IT/OT Systems & Integration Engineer to support, maintain and enhance critical OT systems including NMS, SCADA and GIS. You will manage data exchanges, interfaces with ESB and third parties, and oversee vendor activities to ensure stability and security across Ireland's electricity network.

The role emphasises knowledge transfer, documentation, and capability development within the OSS team, with hybrid working and a focus on delivering value for a net-zero

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience in CS or IS or related field.
• Proven ability to support, maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical IT/OT systems.
• Excellent Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting capabilities.
• Excellent SQL querying, database analysis, and PL/SQL skills.
• Experience in Python programming.
• Experience developing and maintaining system integrations and interfaces.
• Strong data management, validation, cleansing and maintenance.
• Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and fix them.
• Experience supporting System/Integration/UAT/Regression testing.
• Ability to produce and maintain high-quality technical docs and runbooks.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior teammates.
• Strong vendor management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain ESB Networks OT systems including NMS and SCADA.
• Develop and maintain custom interfaces between OT systems and ESB/third-party apps.
• Coordinate with OT vendors; review changes and guide new functionality.
• Enhance OT reporting functionality to meet operational needs.
• Perform data maintenance and data quality activities across OT envs.
• Lead system upgrades, testing, and problem resolution activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge transfer.
