ESB Networks in Ireland is seeking a Senior IT/OT Systems & Integration Engineer to support NMS, SCADA and GIS platforms. You will maintain, upgrade and integrate OT systems, manage data integrity and coordinate with OT vendors.

You will lead enhancements, oversee testing, and mentor junior staff while contributing to the smart grid evolution and net‑zero ambitions for Ireland's electricity network.

Competenze

• Minimum 8 years post‑graduate experience in CS/IS or related discipline.
• Ability to support, maintain, and troubleshoot mission‑critical IT/OT systems.
• Excellent Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting capabilities (Bash, KSH).
• Excellent SQL querying, database analysis, and PL/SQL programming skills.
• Experience in Python programming and system integrations.
• Strong data management, validation, cleansing, transformation and maintenance.
• Ability to investigate complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Experience supporting System/Integration testing and UAT.
• Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation and runbooks.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.

Mansioni

• Support and maintain ESB Networks critical OT systems incl. NMS and SCADA for availability and performance.
• Develop and maintain custom interfaces between OT systems and ESB/third‑party apps.
• Enhance NMS reporting to meet operational and business needs.
• Perform data maintenance, validation and refreshes across OT environments.
• Support advancement of DMS capabilities incl. Power Flow, FLISR, DERMS, load forecasting.
• Contribute to smart network evolution for renewable deployment and electrification.
• Deliver enhancements and coordinate vendor support for OT systems upgrades.
• Collaborate with OT vendors, review changes, and guide new functionality implementations.
• Support new project delivery including upgrades and problem resolution.
• Assist testing activities: system, integration, UAT, regression testing.
• Work with OSS, OT Delivery, Enterprise IT Services and stakeholders for operation and improvement.
• Understand operational requirements and deliver effective tech solutions.
• Maintain regular communication with team, stakeholders and vendors for service delivery.
• Produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentor and develop junior team members to build technical capability.
