Job summary

Westbourne in Ireland seeks an experienced IT/OT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to support IT/OT environments within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role requires hands-on technical expertise across IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity and computerised systems.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain business-critical systems and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, laboratory teams and external vendors to ensure compliant, reliable operations.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on IT/OT infrastructure experience.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V.
Experience with TCP/IP networking, switches, VLANs and firewalls.
Experience supporting manufacturing, automation or lab environments.
Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain IT/OT infrastructure within manufacturing environments.
Support OT networks, VLANs, routing, firewalls and secure remote connectivity.
Manage cybersecurity: endpoint protection, patching, system hardening and access controls.
Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and backup/recovery solutions.
Provide technical support for PLC, SCADA, DCS and HMI systems; maintain related applications.
Troubleshoot equipment connectivity and data interfaces with internal teams and vendors.
Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and support system upgrades.
Ensure IT/OT systems comply with QMS, validation standards, and site procedures.
Document SOPs, procedures, diagrams and inventories.
