Job summary

Westbourne IT Global Services seeks an experienced IT/OT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to support IT and OT environments within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain business-critical systems and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, vendors and corporate IT teams.

The role covers IT/OT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and systems administration across Windows Server, AD, PLC/SCADA/DCS and related manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in IT infrastructure, IT/OT engineering or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware/Hyper-V.
• Experience with TCP/IP, switches, routing, VLANs and firewalls.
• Good cybersecurity understanding including endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, automation or laboratory environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and incident management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• IT/OT Infrastructure: Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot servers, workstations and virtualisation within manufacturing environments.
• Networking: Support OT networks, VLANs, routing, firewalls and secure remote connectivity.
• Cybersecurity: Manage endpoint protection, patching, system hardening and security monitoring.
• Systems Administration: Support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and backups.
• Manufacturing & Laboratory Systems: Provide technical support for PLC, SCADA, DCS, MES and LIMS.
• Systems Integration: Troubleshoot connectivity and data transfer with vendors.
• Operational Support: Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis and lifecycle activities.
• Compliance: Ensure IT/OT systems comply with QMS and validation standards.
• Documentation: Maintain SOPs and system inventories.
