Job summary

Auxilion is seeking Microsoft Infrastructure Consultants for permanent or contract roles in Ireland, mainly Dublin. Roles involve hybrid work between the head office and client sites, with a 3-day on-site expectation.

We welcome both contractor and permanent applicants, and offer generous rates and exposure to high-profile clients. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in infrastructure delivery, strong Microsoft 365/Exchange experience, and solid AD/virtualization knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering infrastructure projects or supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Technical Consultant within MSP/IT services.
• Proven experience implementing complex Microsoft infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement complex Microsoft infrastructure solutions for customers.
• Lead the technical delivery of infrastructure projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Deploy and migrate Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Hybrid Exchange environments.
• Conduct Active Directory health checks, migrations, upgrades and consolidations.
• Design and implement virtualization solutions using VMware and/or Hyper‑V.
• Deliver backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions (Veeam/Commvault).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Level 2 consultants.
• Communicate business requirements as practical technical solutions to stakeholders.

Auxilion are a Market leading Managed Services and Digital Transformation company with a significant presence in the Irish and UK Markets. Owing to to a strong increase in customer demand, we are now seeking applications from Microsoft Infrastructure Consultants to join us on a permanent or contract basis.

These roles will be based between our head office and various customer customer sites located throughout the greater Dublin region. Attendance requiremnts for these roles will be offered on na hybrid basis, with the Microsoft Infrastructure Consultant required either in the office or at on of our customer sites on a 3 day per week basis.

While we are looking for at least 2 x Contractors, we also have a permanent option and would welcome expressions of interest vin both.

Responsibilities of role

• Design, plan and implement complex Microsoft infrastructure solutions for customers.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing expert guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and clearly communicate the associated benefit
• Produce high‑quality technical designs, implementation plans and project documentation.
• Ensure solutions comply with technical standards, governance requirements and industry best practice.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing to Level 2 Technical Consultants.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of services and solutions.
• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering infrastructure projects or supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Technical Consultant within an MSP, managed services provider or similar customer‑facing IT services organisation.
• Proven experience implementing complex Microsoft infrastructure solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online deployments and mailbox migrations.
• Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Exchange environments, including Hybrid Exchange.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, including health checks, migrations and consolidation projects.
• Experience deploying and supporting virtualisation platforms, including VMware and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Experience implementing enterprise backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam and/or Commvault.
• Ability to design, document and deliver technical solutions while effectively communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer engagement, problem‑solving and consultative skills, with the ability to act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Third‑level qualification in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver projects to agreed timelines and quality standards.

Candidates should hold one or more of the following certifications, or demonstrate equivalent experience:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
