Job summary

Galway City Council is inviting applications for a panel to fill the role of I.S. Data Analyst/Developer within the ICT and Digital Department. The successful applicant will develop ICT applications, build Power Apps, and design intuitive UI/UX to enhance user experience.

They will provide technical support across Business Solutions, Data Management and Infrastructure Management. The role requires involvement in national/shared service projects, maintaining proficiency in GCC information

Qualifications

• Recent experience with MS Power Platform, Power Automate and Power BI development.
• Dataverse administration and support experience.
• Dynamics 365 CRM and SQL database administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyse enterprise systems to surface insights from data.

Galway City Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates with relevant experience to create a panel for the role of I.S. Data Analyst/Developer.

Working as part of the Council’s ICT and Digital Department, the IS Analyst/Developer will be involved in/responsible for:

• The development and delivery ICT application projects, developing power apps, business process innovations and intuitive User Interface (UI) designs for optimal user experience (UX).
• Providing technical support to the organisation across Business Solutions, Data Management and Infrastructure Management.
• Analysis of enterprise systems as required by the business, to surface insights in the data held within

The ideal candidate shall possess proven RECENT experience in the following areas:

• MS Power Platform, Power Automate and Power BI development
• Dataverse administration and support
• Dynamics 365 CRM
• SQL database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting and support
• SQL Server management, backups, integration and APIs

The ideal candidate should also possess:

• Knowledge of the latest and emerging application development techniques and technologies;
• Proven ability to collaborate and work as part of a team or individually
• An ability to take on complex problems or situations and take a solution-focused and creative approach to dealing with them;
• Initiative and enthusiasm for new developments or changing work practices and the drive to implement change effectively;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Have a satisfactory knowledge of Local Government in Ireland
