Job summary

Johnson Controls in Dublin seeks a Senior Product Engineering Manager to lead the engineering development and full lifecycle of data‑centre chillers and commercial heat‑pump systems for the European market.

You will own the technical delivery, ensuring EU performance, safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance, and translate customer needs into robust engineering solutions. You will mentor the team and collaborate with Product, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Thermal, or Energy Engineering.
• 7–12 years’ experience in HVAC product engineering.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and low-GWP refrigerants.
• Experience with EU regulations and standards (EN 378, F‑Gas, CE, etc.).
• LEAN engineering practices in product development.
• Strong problem solving, collaboration, and documentation.
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development and full product lifecycle of data‑centre chillers and commercial heat‑pump systems for Europe.
• Own the technical delivery of HVAC products, ensuring EU performance, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate customer needs, regulatory obligations, and market insights into robust engineering solutions.
• Drive cost, quality, reliability, and efficiency improvements across existing and new products.
• Support prototype builds, laboratory and field testing, certification, and customer validation activities across Europe.
• Mentor and develop engineering team members and foster a culture of technical excellence.
