Job summary

Ethos Engineering in Ireland is seeking a Senior High Voltage Engineer specialising in HV electrical engineering to lead the design and delivery of HV/MV infrastructure across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

You will work with internal teams and external consultants to develop substations, landing stations and interconnectors, while mentoring the in-house HV team and engaging with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 8–15+ years’ experience in HV/MV electrical engineering.
• Demonstrable experience delivering HV substation projects up to 400kV.
• Strong understanding of primary and secondary substation systems, protection and control.
• Experience with consultancy and utility/TSO projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HV and MV infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
• Develop and review SLDs, substation layouts, protection philosophies.
• Coordinate internal and external design teams and stakeholders.
• Interface directly with clients, TSOs/DSOs/utilities.
• Support development of Ethos’ HV engineering capability.
