Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – HV Transmission & Distribution
Location: Republic of Ireland
Business Unit: Transmission & Distribution

Responsibilities

• Develop primary plant layouts for HV substations
• Prepare equipment specifications for HV substation and associated equipment
• Provide engineering design input to major infrastructure projects
• Perform Owners’ Engineer role on HV substation, cable, and OHL projects
• Deliver HV design input to renewable energy projects (battery storage, solar, hydro, wind)
• Provide professional services to clients in Ireland, UK, and overseas

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience working on HV projects
• Experience working with major utilities or developers
• Experience as a designer or project engineer
• Experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects
• Fluency in English
• Experience in technical report writing
• Full driving licence and personal vehicle for site visits
• Ideally experience on multi‑discipline engineering projects
• Ideally Chartered accreditation or working toward status
• Ideally consultancy experience
• Ideally experience reviewing detailed designs & witnessing construction site activities
