Job summary

AECOM in Ireland is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead HV substation design and deliver primary plant layouts for a challenging energy infrastructure portfolio. You will drive design input on major projects, develop equipment specifications, and collaborate with partners across National Grid, ESB and EirGrid.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and FEED/detailed design experience is preferred.
• Experience with consultancy, contractor or utility in energy sector.
• Experience working with transmission utilities and major project clients.

Responsibilities

• Produce primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Lead engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Undertake Project Development/Pre-construction activities and optimal cable routes.
• Develop equipment specifications for HV Plant and related equipment.
• Develop tender specifications and undertake tender evaluations.
• Provide design assurance of tender documentation and supplier meetings.
• Review supplier designs during construction, conduct audits and commissioning support.
• Mentor junior team members and act as trusted client partner.
