Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking an experienced HV Secondary Design Engineer to join our Power & Renewables team in Ireland. You will design HV substation secondary systems, protection schemes and control logic, ensuring IEC/IEEE standards and safe operation. A collaborative environment supports mentoring and major grid projects.

You will work on high‑voltage transmission and renewable energy projects, with opportunities for career progression and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in HV substation secondary design and protection schemes.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, EirGrid and SONI standards.
• Ability to produce detailed design documentation and schematics.
• Familiarity with SCADA integration and substation automation.
• Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD and related tools.
